Shieldwall practice

Hands on History has made thirty Roman and Saxon period shields suitable for the younger warrior.  We can bring these to your school or event and equip your warriors with shields and foam swords and teach them the techniques and skills of fighting in a shield wall. 

The teachers or parents then play the 'enemy' and are equipped with large, soft foam balls with which to counter attack.  A very popular activity with all ages.  It is normally the teachers or parents that we have to tell to calm down!
